Nicola Bertolo, Head of the Seimei Foundation, Director of International Relations, Japan, and Master Seimei Practitioner was introduced to Seimei in 1986 in Saga, Japan. It was at that time Nicola recognized Seimei as her destiny and that it would become her life's work. She dedicated herself to the learning of Seimei and within an astoundingly few short years, Nicola Bertolo became the highest ranking non-Japanese Seimei Practitioner in the world; a position that she holds to this day. Nicola also attained a directorship position within the Japanese organization, the first and only non-Japanese person ever to do so. Nicola came to the United States in 1996 where she set her sights on introducing Seimei to the "west" with the ultimate goal of seeing the world embrace its' Seimei potential. To that end, Nicola established the Seimei Foundation in 2005 as a place where practitioners could continue to learn and grow with the support of the Seimei community no matter where they may find themselves in the world.
In the pursuit of her own health and well being, Kathy Leone, Chief Operating Officer, had been trained in many healing modalities including a classic education in homeopathy. She discovered Seimei many years ago at a demonstration in Pompton Lakes, NJ. Up until that moment, Kathy had been dealing with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and symptoms like that of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Additionally, she struggled with a pervasive feeling of anxiety and depression. Her physical response to her Seimei demonstration was immediate and lasting. "I learned Seimei because the demonstration helped me so much and I wanted to be able to help others like I was helped." Kathy joined the first classes taught in the U.S. and began to apply Seimei to every aspect of her life. Ultimately most of the other healing modalities she had learned fell away as she noted that "using Seimei, the healing results were quicker and easier to see. Also, when I use Seimei to help others, I experience an instant improvement in my own physical body and emotional state." Today, while Kathy toils diligently to grow and support the Seimei Foundation, a labor of love, Kathy will periodically combine Seimei with Homeopathy or with Massage Therapy. She has found that "the way I use Seimei with Homeopathy, I get an immediate result," and with Massage Therapy, "combining Seimei with Massage techniques, I feel better while I am working and am better able to relieve the clients pain much more efficiently." "I've experienced and witnessed the true power of Seimei. I've seen healing occur not only in individuals but in entire families. For myself, Seimei has given me a true spiritual connection that I had been searching for (longing for) outwardly rather than discovering it inwardly." "I experience peace and grace on a daily basis and it is my goal to assist everyone who would like that for themselves to experience the transformative power of Seimei first hand."
Jack Haller, is Chief Curriculum Director and technical advisor. Over 10 years ago it was a brief 20 minute demonstration that changed the quality and direction of Jack Hallers' life. He was 2 1/2 hours from his home when he had his first experience with Seimei. The reutrn trip would ordinarily have put him on bed-rest due to a chronic case of fatigue that he had been battling for 25 years, but he "felt so good that I took the lawn mower out and cut the grass." This was an extraordinry event which held the glimmerings of a return to a normal lifestyle for Jack. He immediately arranged to receive regular Seimei sessions which increased his lagging vitality and as his physical well-being improved he began to expand the boundaries of his life. When classes were offered in the U.S., Jack became a devoted student, "I found using Seimei I was experiencing greater improvements even more than being worked on." Today Jack leads a healthy and productive life, no longer plagued by a diminished physical capacity. His experience with Seimei touched him so deeply that, "my personal goal is to see Seimei expand around the globe," and "I would like to be involved in the teaching and disseminating knowledge of Seimei."
Anne Barry, Logistics Director, first experienced, then chose to learn Seimei in the late 1990's. It was her realization that the practitioners who worked on her were also creating healthier bodies for themselves that motivated Anne to become a practitioner. "I wanted that ability for myself." Since becoming a Seimei practitioner, Anne finds that she is no longer plagued by heart palpitations or the symptoms of Restless Leg Syndrome. Additionally, she believes that it is the daily practice of Seimei that has helped her to remain arthritis free; a disease that has tormented three generations of her immediate ancestral family. Anne also created an astounding healing for herself after having boiling water spill on her leg. She used her Seimei to draw out the pain and fire from the burn to the point where after only a few short minutes she and her leg were perfectly fine. Anne's life is currently one unencumbered by medicine. It is a life of physical flexibility which is no small feat for a woman in her 70's. "In the years that I have practiced Seimei, I have experienced miracles in my life and witnessed miraculous changes in the lives of others." It is "just a part of my life."
Although Betsy Feichtinger, Japan Liaison Director, had been living in Saratoga Springs, NY when she first heard of Seimei, it was within a year, "as the universe would have it we made the decision to move back to this area (NJ)." "Still immersed in boxes and unpacking, I had my first experience with Seimei." "I was fascinated by the movements and the hair was standing up on my legs as she passed her hands by - it felt magnetic." Betsy knew from that very first session that she wanted to learn Seimei. "From the beginning I felt Seimei was a pathway to better health. I wanted to help my family, and I wanted to help others. But as I used my seimei more and more I realized it was so much more...." Betsy received regular Seimei sessions and watched as changes within her physical health improved steadily. Ultimately she was in attendance when the first class to teach Seimei was finally realized in the U.S. Now, many years later, Betsy has a long list of goals for herself and Seimei, "I would like to bring Seimei to Western Massachusetts. It is my birthplace and I still love that area." "I desire for mankind to wake up and own their ability to co-create and make this world a better place for all its inhabitants." "I want heaven on earth." And most of all, "I want Seimei to be a household name in my lifetime.
